My Story

I was chronically ill for over five years. It's catalysts were complicated and multifaceted, I had an underlying EDS which I still manage but am now for the most part symptom free. I contracted Amoebic dysentary whilst travelling, followed by months of antibiotics which severally damaged my microbiome. I also had a lot of unprocessed trauma from that time, both medical and personal and I suffered from extreme anxiety which I attempted to ignore by keeping myself perennially busy and overstimulated. The combination of these factors led to a crash in my health in 2014, at age 22. At that time I was suffering from chronic fatigue, nausea, gastroparesis, gut issues, joint pain, migraines, anxiety and severe menstrual pain to name a few.

It subsequently took me 6 years to regain my health.

I started my healing journey by finally slowing down and learning to meditate. I explore a variety of different types of meditation, meditating every day for several hours at home and attending sessions at my local Buddhist Center as well as a retreat in Chang Mai, eventually culminating in me developing my own meditation form consisting of an amalagamation of several ancient Buddhist practices and embodiment which I later coined The Flow Space Method.

I addressed my diet, cutting gluten, dairy, sugar and processed foods and incorporated more fruit and veg. I even had a series of fecal microbiota transplants to revive my decimated micro-biome.

I had regained a lot of my health by this point but still had some unprocessed trauma which was holding me back. At this point I was fortunate enough to meet several fantastic women, alternative health professionals, shamans and lay people who helped me to see what was still in need of healing within me. I owe these women a huge debt of gratitude. It was the relationship with these women and the beautiful transmission of healing and being invited into the fold of women healers that emboldened me to take steps to begin supporting others to move through this process of healing. I owe a great deal of gratitude to:

Jodie Richards ,

Andrea Klein ,

Carmen Harris ,

Diana Manilovna

and other beautiful women who will remain unnamed

I then trained in Reiki levels 1 & 2 and practiced as a Reiki Practitioner and Meditation teacher, teaching my distinct Flow Space Method. I began exploring a variety of somatic practices focusing on nervous system regulation, movement and tremoring, learning to move stuck emotions through the body. I then trained as a Health Coach through the Centre for Coaching and then as an Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapist or 'Somatic Practitioner' through The Embody lab's Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy program, under such renowned teachers, academics  and leaders in the fields of Trauma, Somatics and Nervous System Regulation such as,

Peter Levine, creator of Somatic Experiencing

Pat Ogden  founder of Sensory Motor Psychotherapy

Stephen Porges creator of Polyvagal Theory

As well as..

Deb Dana

Arielle Schwartz

Maneulla Mischke Reeds

and other leaders in Trauma and Somatics.

I now work as a Health Coach and Integrative Somatic Practitioner combining all of the knowledge I have acquired over the years both personally and through the various trainings listed above.
